Sonunda anlamında, bir zamanın veya bir olay zincirinin sonunu ifade ederken kullanılır. Eventually, finally veya after all yerine kullanılabilir.

- In the end I decided to buy him a new bike. (En sonunda ona yeni bir bisiklet almaya kar verdim)

- You will meet a lot of people in life. Some people will build you up and some people will tear you down. But in the end, you’ll thank them all. (Hayatta pek çok insanla tanışacaksın. Bazıları seni geliştirecek, bazıları aşağı çekecek. Ama sonunda hepsine teşekkür edeceksin)

- I asked many people for your address. It was a tough effort but in the end I found you. (Adresini pek çok kişiye sordum. Zor bir çabaydı ama sonunda seni buldum)

- Is there a tailor near here? (Yakınlarda bir terzi var mı?)
-Yes, there is. It’s at the end of the street. (Evet, sokağın sonunda)

- Everybody was crying at the end of the movie. (Filmin sonunda herkes ağlıyordu)

- Why there's an exclamation mark at the end of the sentence. (Cümlenin sonunda neden ünlem işareti var?)
